Assistance League of Los Angeles is a non-profit dedicated to improving the lives of impoverished children and bettering communities. It strives to be a place where children can feel safe, welcome, and cared
for. In celebration of the organization’s 100^th anniversary, the new flagship office has been designed
as its home for the next 100 years.

The existing bow truss and exposed brick skeleton lend a warm industrial feel while pops of bright colors and diffused daylight create inviting work and social spaces. Two large openings have been cut in the second floor creating a vertical connection with interior trees  and custom steel stair, thus bringing a piece of Sunset Blvd. into the building.  Upstairs, elegant offices provide space for day to day activities, while a new 2^nd floor patio provides outdoor space for hosting events and fundraisers.  The Ground Floor is designed to focus on the children and the programs dedicated to them through flexible support spaces.
